ABOUT ME

ThePoet StanleyRay is an up and coming poet, father of 3 teenagers (2 boys &1 girl) and entrepreneur setting forth into partnership with now girlfriend Aurelia Amante  to incorporate their business "NativeSoul". He has the unique ability to bring the raw & simple aspects of everyday living to his poetry. Born and raised in Hammond and New Orleans La., with his southern roots oozing from his personality, fused with a West Coast styling, StanleyRay weaves his thoughts into vivid images painted with his booming voice & gentile Southern nature. StanleyRay began writing in 2006 penning some of his most popular works such as "Product of My Environment, I'm CumN' , Unfinished business 1 & 2", covering the topics of family, sensuality & religion. Stan is an open mic regular at the Mahogany Urban Poetry series (one of the longest running poetry venues in Northern Cali.) where he was first featured. He is one of the special features for the "Pop Erotic"/Erotic Poetry show "The Sweet Spot" and the only remaining original member out of Sacramento Ca., and has been apart of many other shows from Northern and Southern Ca. to the East Coast and now has his sights set on  becoming an International Poet and traveling member of the "Sweet Spot". He was the only reoccuring poet at Nutty Mondays comedy show with Trissy Tris, and you could also catch him at the Grown & Sexy comedy show at the Touch of Class. He Co-host a poetry venue at Mid Town Cafe with Malik Saunders, and hosted his own Erotic Open Mic show at Boston's Lounge every first Sunday called SoultrySundays and has performed at many other local venues. He has shared the stage with many artists from poets to actors, musicians,singers and comedians. Taalam Acey, Marc Marcel, Shawn Williams(Fiveology), Ainsley Burrows, Walter Maxfield Jones, IzReal the Poet, Joyce Lee, Tristan Trissie Johnson, Ricco Da Great, Khiry Malik, Khoree The Poet, and Bri Blue just to name a few. He was 2012's Sexxy Sunday's Erotic Poetry Slam Grand Champion (R.I.P. Strecth), has a piece soon to be published in Malik Saunders new book "Pain MediZen" and is working on his own book intitled "A Rhythmic Testimony".
